We learned about fire fighting and fire chemistry. Here one of the cadets dons an OBA (Oxygen Breathing Apparatus).
We also practice for emergency at sea, various drills for man overboard, abandon ship, fire and steering casualty are conducted. Here cadets have rigged the emergency steering tiller and are carrying out helm orders by usining block and tackle to operate the tiller. This worked so well that we did a man overboard drill and recovered oscar by emergency steering.
